CJ Hole acquires Anne James Estate & Letting Agents, strengthening East Bristol presence
CJ Hole has announced the acquisition of Anne James Estate & Letting Agents, a long-standing independent agency serving Longwell Green and the wider East Bristol community.
The acquisition marks CJ Hole’s seventh to date and sees the business open its 11th office, further strengthening its strategic growth across Bristol and the surrounding communities. The move follows the retirement of Anne James owners, Heather and Alison, who have built a business deeply rooted in the local area and widely recognised for its personal approach and strong community relationships.
Anne James will be incorporated into the CJ Hole brand, bringing together two businesses with shared values centred on trust, service quality and long-term relationships within their communities. CJ Hole will continue trading from the prominent Bath Road office in Longwell Green, with all existing team members remaining in place to ensure continuity for clients and to preserve the local expertise that has underpinned the Anne James reputation.
The Longwell Green office enhances CJ Hole’s coverage across East Bristol, sitting between its established Kingswood and Lyde Green branches and enabling greater support for surrounding areas including Hanham, Oldland Common, Warmley, Bitton and Keynsham.
Chris Hill, Managing Director of CJ Hole, commented: “Anne James is a business with a fantastic reputation in its local community, built on strong relationships and a genuine commitment to its clients. That ethos aligns closely with our own approach at CJ Hole. We’re very pleased to welcome Anne James into our network and to continue serving the Longwell Green area with the same locally focused teams, now supported by the wider CJ Hole group.”
He added: “This acquisition reflects our continued investment across Bristol and our belief in combining strong local knowledge with the benefits of a wider network. Longwell Green is a key location for us, allowing us to better connect our existing offices while remaining firmly rooted in the communities we serve.”
Toby Phillips, Group Managing Director of CJ Hole, added: “Anne James has built an outstanding reputation in East Bristol, and we are proud to bring that legacy into the CJ Hole network. Our focus remains on supporting strong local teams with the tools, marketing and infrastructure they need to deliver exceptional service, while retaining the personal, community-led approach that clients value.”
CJ Hole will build on Anne James’ established reputation by combining its trusted local heritage with CJ Hole’s modern approach, wider marketing reach and operational infrastructure. Clients will benefit from a comprehensive range of services including residential sales, land and new homes, lettings and proactive property management, all delivered with a focus on transparency and support throughout the property journey.
CJ Hole extends its sincere thanks to Heather and Alison for their significant contribution to the East Bristol property market and wishes them well in their retirement.
