EweMove marks 13 years as industry models rise and fall

Award-winning estate agency franchise EweMove is celebrating its 13th birthday by reflecting on one of the most disruptive periods in the history of the UK property industry.

Since launching in 2013, EweMove has grown from a start-up challenger brand into one of the UK’s most recognised estate agency franchise networks, navigating Brexit, a global pandemic, significant legislative reform and the rise and fall of numerous industry disruptors along the way.

During that time, the sector has seen the emergence of online and hybrid agency models, changing consumer expectations and increasing compliance requirements. There have been several brands along the way that have helped shape industry conversations before ultimately disappearing from the market.

Today, EweMove supports around 170 franchisees across the UK and was recently named Best National Sales Agent at the EA Masters Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

Nick Neill, Managing Director of EweMove, said: “The last 13 years have seen enormous change in estate agency. Technology, compliance requirements and customer expectations have all evolved significantly.”

“What has remained remarkably consistent is that property is still a people business. Customers still want trusted advice, excellent communication and somebody who genuinely cares about helping them move. The agents who build trust, deliver great service and become known within their local communities continue to be the ones who succeed.”

As EweMove enters its teenage years, the business says its focus remains firmly on supporting local business owners, delivering exceptional customer experiences and continuing to evolve alongside the changing needs of the industry.
