The Fine & Country Foundation has announced the appointment of two new Trustees, further strengthening its leadership and long-term commitment to tackling homelessness and poverty.
Nicky Stevenson, Managing Director of Fine & Country, and Ben Dodds, Chief Financial Officer of The Property Franchise Group, have both been appointed as Trustees of The Fine & Country Foundation. They join existing Trustees Sean Newman and Emilie Despois, Chief Marketing Officer of Fine & Country.
As Trustees, the board members act as guardians of The Foundation’s purpose. They are collectively responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring robust governance, overseeing financial stewardship and maintaining full legal compliance. Together, they ensure that all decisions and activities advance The Foundation’s mission for public benefit.
Commenting on her appointment, Nicky Stevenson, Managing Director of Fine & Country, said:
“The Fine & Country Foundation represents the very best of what our industry can achieve when it comes together with a shared purpose. I have seen first-hand the extraordinary commitment of our network to supporting those experiencing homelessness and poverty, and I am proud to take on the role of Trustee to help guide The Foundation’s future impact.”
Ben Dodds, CFO of The Property Franchise Group, added:
“The Foundation has an impressive track record of ensuring that funds raised are used efficiently and responsibly to deliver meaningful change. I am delighted to be joining the Trustee board and look forward to supporting the charity’s continued growth, strong governance and long-term sustainability.”
Since its inception in 2014, The Fine & Country Foundation has focused on addressing the pressing issues of homelessness and poverty. Supported by the Fine & Country network, The Foundation has provided critical financial assistance to a wide range of charitable organisations through its biannual grant scheme, alongside additional donations made throughout the year.
Fundraising efforts across the Fine & Country network have been both innovative and wide-ranging. Over the years, supporters have taken part in marathons, golf days, Tough Mudder challenges, Sleep-Out events, mountain climbs, skydives, swimming the English Channel and many other initiatives. This collective dedication has resulted in more than £1 million being raised and donated, underlining the power of community action within the property sector.
While The Foundation organises fundraising events throughout the year, many Fine & Country agents independently devise creative ways to raise funds and awareness. Supporters consistently give their time, energy and financial backing to the cause, and without this ongoing commitment, The Foundation would not have been able to support so many worthy organisations.
Operating with minimal running costs, The Fine & Country Foundation ensures that close to 100 per cent of all funds raised are directed towards those in need. This efficient approach maximises the impact of every donation and enables the charity to continue delivering meaningful support to communities across the UK and beyond.
Emilie Despois, Chair of The Fine & Country Foundation and Chief Marketing Officer of Fine & Country, commented:
“As someone who has been involved with The Fine & Country Foundation since its inception, I am incredibly proud of the impact it continues to make. The appointment of Nicky Stevenson and Ben Dodds significantly strengthens our Trustee Board, bringing senior leadership, financial expertise and deep industry insight that will help guide The Foundation’s next phase of growth. Together with our Ambassadors and the executive team, we will ensure The Foundation remains well placed to deliver meaningful, lasting support to those experiencing homelessness and poverty.”
With the appointment of its new Trustees, The Fine & Country Foundation looks ahead with renewed focus as it continues its vital work.
