Hunters launch new Highbury & Islington office expanding North London footprint

Hunters Estate Agents is continuing its strategic growth across North London with the launch of its new Highbury & Islington office, led by Franchise Owner Sam Sharif. This marks Sharif’s third Hunters branch, following the success of Hunters Stoke Newington and Hunters West Hampstead.

The new office follows the acquisition of M&M Property, a well-established local agency, which has now been fully rebranded under the Hunters name. The move strengthens Hunters’ presence in one of London’s most dynamic and in-demand property markets.

Reuben John, Sales Director at Hunters Highbury & Islington, commented: “Our continued expansion has been driven by strong performance in both Stoke Newington and West Hampstead, alongside growing demand for a more proactive, service-led approach to estate agency in London.

“We’ve built trusted relationships within our communities, and much of our growth has come through repeat business and referrals. Expanding further allows us to strengthen our local presence, support more clients, and continue delivering the hands-on, expert advice that sets us apart.”

Highbury & Islington was identified as a strategic location for the group’s next phase of growth, reflecting both market strength and geographic synergy with its existing offices. “Highbury & Islington was a natural next step for us,” John added. “It’s a dynamic, well-connected area with a strong mix of period homes, modern developments and a vibrant local community, qualities that closely align with our experience across North London. Its proximity to Stoke Newington also allows us to build on our existing network and local knowledge, while bringing our proactive, relationship-led approach to a market that continues to see consistent demand from both buyers and tenants.”

The acquisition of M&M Property provided an opportunity to build on an established local reputation while integrating into the wider Hunters network. “M&M Property had built a strong local reputation and shared the same values we prioritise, such as integrity, personal service and deep community knowledge, which made it a natural fit,” said John.

“The transition to rebrand the business as Hunters hasn’t always been easy. There have been challenges along the way, but by working closely with the existing team and clients, we’ve ensured continuity and clear communication. The response has been very positive, with clients benefiting from the same trusted faces locally, now supported by the wider resources of the Hunters network.”

Existing clients have responded positively to the change in branding, with many welcoming the additional reach and infrastructure that comes with being part of a national network. “Clients still have the same trusted local team, but now benefit from the wider reach, resources and expertise of the Hunters network, from greater marketing exposure to access to nationwide buyers and tenants,” comments John.

Commenting on the expansion, Rob Smith, Managing Director of Hunters said: “It’s fantastic to see the team continue to grow their presence across North London. The launch of Hunters Highbury & Islington reflects not only the strength of their existing offices, but also their commitment to delivering exceptional service at a local level. The acquisition and successful rebrand of M&M Property demonstrates how our franchise model enables ambitious business owners to scale strategically, while retaining the personal, community-focused approach that defines Hunters. We look forward to supporting the team as they build on this momentum.”
